With 2 Guns it's quick to get in the extra work it takes to be Great Shooters, and about that Rebounder, there is no doubt it made us tougher on the boards. 27-0 State Champs -

Our improved success as a program has increased each year due to the fact we were able to shoot higher percentages from the floor. We've increased our 3 pt shooting percentage from 33% as a team 2 years ago to over 40% as a team in our championship season. We also shoot 52% from 2 as a team. These shooting percentages directly relate to our game-like workouts and added repetition that our Gun shooting machines offer. 2007 Boys Basketball State Champions AAAA Coach of the Year - Buffalo, Mn

YOU HAVE TO USE IT!! We had The Gun and the Shoot-A-Way. Team shooting at one end and individual shooting at the other end. Unfortunately, the coach that owned it left the school and our AD didn't want to buy them from him. Our perimeter shooting has suffered ever since. Incidentally, when I went to Philly last season to watch St. Joe's practice, they had 3 and one was in use at the start of practice. St. Joe was one of the better perimeter shooting teams last season.

"I am planning on putting a picture of a young man using The Gun on my web page. He is in the 8th grade. He averages about 5-6 three pointers a game - 27 points a game. He comes in the gym and shoots 800-1000 shots a day!!! He is there early in the morning until late at night. We might even put together a video on him - he is a self-made player. His name is Montana Brown. Remember that name. His dad played with the Harlem Globetrotters for eight years."

"Here are some stats for you. Our FG% has increased 5.4%, our FT% has increased 5.3% and our 3FG% has increased 8.7%. The Gun is GREAT! We are about to finish a great climb as we finished last in our Region two years ago, bought a Shoot-A-Way that summer, worked and improved and made it to 4th in our Region and won a Playoff birth, bought The Gun and are on the verge of a Region Championship this season. We are currently tied for 1st with two games left. The biggest difference - Hitting Open Shots! Other coaches used to pack in a zone and make us shoot. Now they respect our shooting. THANK YOU!"

"I, just like you, do like having passers in as many drills as possible. You just get "more bang for your buck" which makes it an efficient use of time. But I took over at a school and found a dusty Shoot-A-Way in an old boiler room. I brought it out and cleaned it up and the players thought I was a hero - the seniors had NEVER seen it. That means it was there for at least 3 years. Before I even walked into the gym, players were getting tons of shots and very soon they began shooting at lunch time as well. It encouraged more shooting. And I always had one track set to the FT line. You said: 'As a player, I hated to use it for a couple reasons. I do not have a high arching jump shot. For me to shoot on The Gun I had to totally change my jump shot.' That's one of the major benefits of The Gun or Shoot-A-Way. Probably the 2 most important aspects in becoming a great shooter are 1) Proper arc and 2) Repetitions (which will partially overcome poor mechanics). The Gun and Shoot-A-Way do both on their own with no coach needed."

"Gary, I just wanted to let you know how much our players love using The Gun. We received our Gun with two weeks left in the season and it was in use every morning and practice. My Girls' 7th Grade Team won the Conference Championship yesterday, the first championship for a girls team at Fairplay in fifteen years. Thanks for your help in getting us one quickly and conveniently."

"It barely takes a few minutes anymore for David Logan to set up a contraption known as The Gun. A rebounding machine with a wide net that kicks a basketball back to a shooter, The Gun has become a regular companion of the University of Indianapolis senior. After his freshman year, Logan began shooting as many as 1,000 shots per day. Assistant Coach Stan Gouard didn't last long. 'That's why we got that shooting machine,' Gouard said. 'I was tired of rebounding for him.' Three years after wearing out coaches, Logan is wearing the label as one of the best point guards in the nation."

"My machine must be broken? My daughter has used The Gun religiously for almost 3 years now. She is only averaging 20 points per game and is listed within the top 20 scorers in California. Something must be wrong with my machine."

"The Gun is a great investment. It teaches your kids the proper shooting mechanics then lets them get thousands of shots on this machine. It was a key addition that led us to a state championship. Go to www.gun3.com. They will send you a video of the machine in action. I give it an A+."

"We have The Gun and we use it by the hours. Obviously, you can't use it during your actual practice (unless you have lots of room), but we have players come in early and stay late and shoot 500 shots a day. I felt it has helped us get to the level we are at now. You can also do shots off the dribble with this machine - we run all kinds of drills that are gamelike. We have many D1 basketball coaches visit our practices and watch our games. They always comment on The Gun they see in the corner of the gym. They then proceed to tell me about how hard some of their players work on their shooting with this machine. Get your gym open and get the kids on this machine now. If it is good enough for most every NBA team, D1 team... it is certainly good for a high school program."

"Hi Gary, Just wanted to send you a follow-up compliment on your Shoot-A-Way Home Court device. My oldest child started using the device when he began middle school. He's a junior in high school now and the starting point guard on his school's varsity team. Even though they practice at school for 2-3 hours per day, they do not get in nearly enough individual shooting practice. With the limited time remaining in the day, the Shoot-A-Way Home Court has become even more indispensable because it allows my son to groove his shot in 30 minutes per day at home. Standing at only 5'6", he earned his starting position because he can nail that 3-pointer better than anyone else on his team. My other kids have started using it and they are also far ahead of their peers in shooting. Thanks for the great product."

"I bought your Shoot-A-Way Home Court and my sons use it daily. Their shooting percentage has increased dramatically. My oldest, a freshman, was the starting varsity PG for his high school team. He shot 48% from 3 pt. land."

"Hi, I purchased a Home Court model about nine years ago after borrowing a demo model from Greg Dettman, my good friend and sport court builder. It has been a good investment and both my sons have gotten a lot of value from it over the years. Unfortunately the heat and rain in Austin, Texas has worn out the netting system and despite repeated repairs, it is in bad shape even though the frame is fine. My younger son, an 8th grader, just had ACL surgery a few months ago and is limited in what he can do. But he certainly can shoot free throws and other shots with the Shoot-A-Way Home Court. By the way, he and his older brother have won about seven free throw and three point contests between them over the years and have won countless middle school and high school games with their shooting skills. Your product deserves a lot of credit for allowing them to practice in their yard in a shorter amount of time."

"Gary, the Shoot-A-Way is a tremendous asset for our girls program. It allows us to use our legs in the shooting process. We use six to seven girls at a time on the Shoot-A-Way to not only work on shooting form, but also passing techniques as well as catch and square up procedures. After using the Shoot-A-Way for over 10 years, we feel confident that our 3 times a week shooting segments will increase our scoring by 4/6 points per player in scoring average. We are eager to receive our new machine for the 2003 season. Thanks again."

"The Gun is a great tool to get alot of shoots at the rim in a short amount of time. We used it just 7 days and in the last two games went from 22% to 36% and 42% from the floor. The kids are excited about next year. I am going to be having them come in over the summer. I too am looking for a lot of good things next year."

  • Jon Enrico, Head Coach Mens Basketball -  Okeechobee High School, FL
"Gary, my name is Jon Enrico and I am the Head Coach at Okeechobee High School. I joined this program over 3 years ago and the had only won 5 games in 5 years. The first purchase I made as a head coach was The Gun. This was a very big purchase for a small-town high school, but the purchase has paid off. We won more games in one season than they had in 5 years. We made it to the playoffs for the first time in 14 years and I had a player that signed with a Division I school after spending an entire season shooting on this machine. This year I have a sophomore player who has been using this machine for 2 years and he has broken school records. He made 6 3-point shots in one game (5/5 in the first half) and made 80 3's in the season. I now have 15-20 Division 1 schools looking at him. The Gun has been a big part of our team and individual success and I just want to thank you and your great company. If there is anything I can ever do for you just ask. See you on the court."
